Who we are

Abolon Consulting (“Abolon”) helps leading Healthcare companies to make important improvements to their strategies and operations. These include corporate M&A and licensing transactions. The identified improvements often have their origin in Abolon’s insights into the dynamics of particular Healthcare areas, strategic options for Healthcare businesses and transaction opportunities.

Our insights challenge the way companies do business and lead to ideas how to make changes. We work closely with Client executives to refine those ideas, lead them to the stage of implementation and are available to accompany implementation. The resulting value creation ensures Clients’ trust in Abolon.

All our senior consultants have dual backgrounds: After gaining experience with blue-chip management consulting firms, they spent several years as executives with operative responsibility, as (non-executive) board members in the Healthcare industry or as Healthcare specialists in investment banking. The advantages of their dual backgrounds to our Clients are manifold:

  • Our professionals are trained and experienced to take a top-management perspective that Abolon is commited to
  • Our professionals develop sound and practical solutions, always in close cooperation with our Client executives. They have valuable operational experience, know what will work in practice and are helpful partners in supporting implementation or in managing transaction processes (M&A and business development)
  • Our professionals take an analytic approach in identifying business issues and use a broad range of analytic tools for developing solutions. They are well equipped to develop particular insights and to contribute to knowledge development for our Clients
  • In previous roles, our professionals used to build relationships with Client executives, later had operational responsibility for a number of direct reports. We take great care in building close relationships with Clients and inside Abolon. Abolon professionals have superior interpersonal skills and enjoy working with and for Clients.
